This paper presents the implementation of a smart monitoring system for distribution transformer loads across Middle East power distribution networks. Unlike conventional approaches, where sensors are physically installed at transformers, this initiative derives transformer loading indirectly through the aggregation of smart meter data. Each consumer meter records half-hourly load values across 48-time blocks per day, in addition to providing daily energy consumption totals.
